Program Engineer I

Job Purpose:
We are currently seeking a self-motivated security systems Program Engineer to complement our current team of professionals. Some travel to installation sites is required. The candidate is responsible for customer requirements, design recommendations, and documentation on all aspects of the contract. They must be familiar with AutoCAD and MS Project. Attention to detail is expected. They must be familiar with video surveillance systems, access control, and perimeter detection products. Experience in military operations and optics a plus.
Essential Functions:
- Understand and review customer requirements.
- Support the development of technical solutions for system requirements.
- Create system or subsystem equipment and design recommendations.
- Prepare submittals, installation drawings, acceptance plans, training materials, and full documentation.
- Provide customer service and user support.
- Develop document designs, plans, mechanical drawings, and processes for production of custom products and systems.
Education/Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field) and 0-5 years of experience in the field of design/implementation of surveillance systems. Must be capable of obtaining a DoD secret clearance. Preferred experience includes low-voltage, optics, thermal camera, Project Management software, and military experience.
Work Environment:
Senspex, Inc. is a small company requiring flexibility for multi-task functions. The Security and Surveillance Systems Division is a full service electronic security systems integrator and contractor. This division specializes in providing integrated electronic security solutions, video surveillance systems, access control, and perimeter detection products. Candidate must be energetic, willing to assist other team members, and motivated to assume additional responsibilities. Office environment Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM. Must be willing to travel for project installations.
