Senior Audiovisual Specialist

Job Purpose: Overall management of Senspex employees at the Ft. Irwin site. This includes, but is not limited to: inventory control management, ordering supplies, performance counseling and evaluations, enforcing Senspex company policies and procedures, scheduling, oversight of safety and training programs, compiling reports, in-processing and out-processing of employees, approving timecards, and any other duties assigned by the Program Manager.

Essential Functions: Organize and participate in a variety of technical tasks involved in the operation of video cameras and recording equipment. Schedule and coordinate employees to provide mission support to military operations. Enforce compliance of Senspex company policies and standard operating procedures. Administer safety and training programs, including conducting safety briefs and reviewing JHAs. Respond to routine and non-routine customer issues and escalate issues as appropriate to the Program Manager. Review the work of lower level employees and make recommendations for improvement. Responsible for data entry, including MAXIMO. Assist with in-processing and training new employees, including obtaining information from employees for security clearances. Assist with out-processing of employees, including presenting termination documents and security de-briefing. Conduct routine employee evaluations. Make recommendations for employee disciplinary actions and present disciplinary actions to employees. Secure, organize, update, and maintain employee training files and administration documentation. Complete and maintain required documentation in accordance with established procedures. Approve employee timecards weekly. Facilitate communication between the employees and Senspex Administration. Ensure employee forms, OSHA quizzes, sign-off sheets, and necessary documentation is received by the Human Resources Department. Represent Senspex at meetings and site events. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Requirements: Relevant experience in the audio/video environment, preferably in a military setting. Relevant experience as a manager or team leader and customer service. High School Diploma required; Bachelors Degree in a related field is a plus. Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards of audio/video equipment and management/leadership. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Senspex conducts background checks, motor vehicle records checks, drug tests, and physical exams on potential employees.

Special Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license and be insurable by the Company’s auto insurance. Maintain Post driving privileges. Obtain Military licenses & Night Vision certification if required. Travel off road in company 4x4 vehicles. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Willing to work any shift to include weekends and Holidays. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance and must be a US citizen. Ability to perform duties with travel in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, and wind) and at height (helicopter travel, mountain tops, elevated walk areas and towers). May be cross-utilized to perform duties that are within the skill set of this job description across all domains to meet the needs of the training mission.
