Engineering Manager
In his current role, Frederic "Bill" Hall serves as the Engineering Manager at Senspex. During his tenure at Senspex, Bill made significant contributions to the development of our state-of-the-art thermal imaging products, including the next-generation video processor named GILA, as well as the advanced control systems that are at the core of our thermal imaging offerings. Bill also fulfills the role of a technical mentor, guiding and supporting other engineers, while continuously exploring and assessing emerging technologies for potential integration into forthcoming products and services.
Over the course of his extensive 28-year career, Bill has predominantly specialized in the field of aircraft electronics, making substantial contributions to both small and large enterprises. His expertise has been vital in shepherding products through the entire development process, from initial concept to final FAA certifications, for numerous aviation products that are widely utilized today. Bill has led product development initiatives for renowned companies such as United Postal Service, Weather Services International, Trimble Navigation, and Garmin International. These projects encompassed crucial technical elements, including satellite radio data receivers, NAS transponders, engine monitoring systems, altimetry solutions, audio selector panels, cockpit displays, certified software, firmware compliant with DO-178/DO-254 standards, and rugged electronics designed to withstand challenging environmental conditions.
Bill's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University, with minors in economics and mathematics.
